Group of approximately 84 assorted original early to mid-20th century color-printed and embossed labels (plus some duplicates) for a variety of tobacco manufacturers. Various sheet sizes, many approximately 6 x 10 inches. Loose as issued, currently housed in plastic sleeves in a modern binder. Various places.

This collection of cigar box and tobacco labels is a wonderful showcase of graphic design and printing in tobacco manufacture. There are a variety of geometric and pictorial designs displayed across a range of techniques and applications, including foil, gilt-embossing, and typography. The labels come from Europe, Latin America, the United States, and even Asia.
