This set of six contemporary art periodicals were edited by Ben Vautier, Bernar Venet, Vincenzo Accame, Sol LeWitt, Giuseppe Panza di Biumo, and Arturo Schwarz. Most of the editors provided a mission statement or essay outlining the overarching theme of their issue. For example, the preface for issue 1 from Ben Vautier reads, "This book contains a choice of statements and sentences that often have in common that they take a 'position towards art', all of them make me think, react or doubt." Bernar Venet titles issue no. 2 "The Rational Image: Against the abuses of individual expression in Art. Some new works since 1976."

Contributing or quoted artists and writers to the six issues include Joseph Kosuth, Jacques Lizène, Daniel Buren, Giuseppe Chiari, Henry Flynt, George Brecht, John Cage, Guy Debord, Allan Kaprow, Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol, Joseph Beuys, George Maciunas, Francis Picabia, Kazimir Malevich, Filippo Marinetti, Piero Manzoni, Jenny Holzer, Ewa Partum, Mike Glier, Ingeborg Lüscher, Donald Judd, Richard Serra, Dan Flavin, Bruce Nauman, Gianfranco Baruchello, Alighiero Boetti, Ettore Colla, Flavio Costantini, Ugo Dossi, Lucio Fontana, Mimmo Rotella, and many others.

Scarce; as of May 2025, OCLC locates scattered holdings in North American institutions, but only five libraries with the full set of six.
