The first and only issue published of the Lyonnaise surrealist journal, edited by Bernard Caburet (1942-1981). Caburet co-founded the L'Ékart group with Robert Guyon, and this review was it's eponymous publication. Other collaborators included Louis Gleize, Claude Allibert, and Elsbeth Ach.
The pages are printed on various colored paper stock, with visual poetry, typography, illustrations, and two hand-colored pages in colored pencil, with text printed in black, red, blue, and green. One page has three cut-out sections according to the editor's instructions, and following those same instructions, are glued elsewhere within the issue.
The front flyleaf contains a lengthy hand-written note from Guyon to Jean-Louis Bédouin regarding André Breton, dated October 31, 1966. Also, laid in is a double-sided typed sheet dated September 29, 1966, containing texts by Cabuert and Guyon announcing the death of Breton, which occurred right around the time of publication of L'Ékart.
A very scarce 1960s surrealist publication; as of October 2024, OCLC did not locate a single holding of this journal outside of France.
