This volume contains a brief 4-page introductory text preceding almost 60 pages of illustrations, showcasing Polish avant-garde design of the interwar period from the Union of Students of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology.
Part I contains architectural diploma projects (sketches and models) completed under the direction of architects such as Adolf Szyszko-Bohusza, Aleksandra Bojemskiego, Czeslawa Przybylskiego, Rudolfa Swierczynskiego, and Tadeusza Tolwinskiego. These projects include a performance hall, a planetarium and astronomical museum, a stadium, a power plant, a prison, factories, hotels, a sanatorium, various types of institutes, and apartment buildings. There is also a section dedicated to urban planning concerning the cities of Kielce, Czestochowa, and Luck.
Part II includes poster art, Dada-ist photomontage, commercial art, illustration, painting, caricature, photography, and furniture design. There are works by J. Hryniewiecki, S. Osiecki, M. Nowicki, S. Sandecka, J. Polinski, A. Bowbelski, Z. Gorski, S. Jankowski, R. Wylcan, J. Alchimowicz, J. Izdebski, M. Nalecz-Dobrowolski, E. Wierzbicki, J. Brzezinski, J. Soltan, K. Zakrzewski, S. Zychon, M. Brudnicki, T. Zagrodzki, and others.
Part III is comprised of photographs depicting life in the Union of Students of Architecture, alongside a few more examples of poster design and commercial art.
Many of the architects whose work is included in this album went on to help rebuild Warsaw after it was almost entirely destroyed during World War II. The publication was first printed in 1930 as a projected yearbook, however only three issues total appear to have been published - in 1930, 1935, and the final issue in 1936.
