Andrzej Lachowicz (1939-2015) was a photographer and artist born in Vilnius, Lithuania, who came to Poland to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He was a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers, and helped found the International Drawing Triennale in Wroclaw.

In 1970, he co-founded the Polish neo-avant-garde group and gallery Permafo, together with Natalia LL, Zbigniew Dlubak, and Antoni Dzieduszycki. Permafo was one of many artist-owned and curated galleries that emerged in Wroclaw in the 1970s, and it remained in operation until 1981.

This volume constitutes a kind of photographic accompanying publication for the exhibition Perswazja wizualna i mentalna (Visual and mental persuasion), which was based on the idea of "permanent art" and the concept of endlessness. A number of the photographs show Lachowicz' partner Natalia LL (Lach-Lachowicz, 1937-2022).
